In the early 90’s, in Portugal, an environmental study reveals the existence of an incredible archaeological potential in Vale do Côa. The largest European gathering of out in the open pre-historic drawings is found. However, the findings are in danger of being submerged in water. EDP, the company responsible of electricity distribution in Portugal, developed a project of a massive hydraulic reserve. A true ideological, economic and political dispute starts between the powerful EDP and the defenders of the cultural heritage. This film tells the story of the archaeologists, scientists and politicians’ battle, as well as this remarkable act of resistance.
